The Chihuahua is widely recognized as the smallest dog breed. Adults only grow to be 4-6 pounds, with a maximum height of 10 inches. What they lack in size, they more than make up for it with impressive courage and a winning personality.
LIVING SPACE
Chihuahuas are small dogs that don’t require a lot of space or exercise. While they are perfectly suited to a small apartment, they do need regular exercise and fresh air to promote health and happiness. They like to bark, so make sure you have understanding neighbors and permission to keep dogs in your building.

Chihuahuas are full of energy but don’t need a lot of exercise to stay healthy. They can live long, happy lives without much running around outdoors.
